Hello music lover! On Saturday, October 18th, 2025, TWELVES RECORD and TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA came together to host a listening party at TWELVES to celebrate the release of two new collaborative TRAVELER’S notebook Passport Size inserts: “Crate” and “Sticker.” This collaboration brought together vinyl enthusiasts and notebook lovers for a celebration of all things physical media and creativity!

Setting the Scene

From the moment the TRC USA team arrived to set up, the atmosphere was vibrant! Hector Waluyo spun upbeat records that filled the shop with energy, while Tony’s vibrant poster designs decorated the iconic A-frame sign that’s usually propped outside the shop. The corner of 7th and Olive had never looked more inviting!

When Two Communities Became One

As the doors opened at noon, a mix of people filed into the sun-drenched shop. TWELVES regulars dug through the vinyl selection, while TRAVELER’S notebook enthusiasts eagerly arrived to check out the new “Sticker” and “Crate” passport size inserts. What could have been two separate groups instead became a harmonious convergence of analog communities.

TRAVELER’S notebook fans found themselves drawn to the record bins, chatting with TWELVES regulars who shared their knowledge about albums and artists. Many notebook enthusiasts left with a record or two tucked under their arms.

The Soundtrack of the Day

Throughout the afternoon, Hector’s DJ set provided the ideal soundtrack to the event. His selections showcased what makes TWELVES special: a fun and fearless approach to curation that prioritizes taste and discovery over trends.

One highlight was Hector’s selection of Spanish covers of popular ’80s dance pop hits! It’s these types of unexpected gems that you’d find at TWELVES. An algorithm may have never decided to play something like this, and that’s what makes Hector and TWELVES’ curated selection of records so special. The fun songs playing back-to-back provided the ideal distraction to the TRC USA staff, who would bust a few dance moves in between restocks and ringing up customers!

Meeting the Designer

Behind the register, Tony Bach found himself in a new role. As the designer of the inserts, he’d put countless hours into creating artwork that honored both brands. When TRAVELER’S notebook users began approaching him for his signature, it became something more meaningful.

“It was a new experience for me,” he shared. Tony and the TRC USA staff both agreed that it was cool to see that TRAVELER’S notebook users truly appreciated the act of writing and physical creativity.

TRAVELER’S notebooks as Conversation Starters

Perhaps the most heartwarming aspect was watching the immediate community that formed. TRAVELER’S notebook users opened their new inserts right there in the shop, pens in hand, and began asking each other to sign the pages of their new TWELVES x TRC USA inserts.

It didn’t matter if they were longtime friends or complete strangers. The simple act of signing each other’s notebooks created instant connections!
Learning from Each Other

Throughout the five-hour event, knowledge flowed freely in both directions. TWELVES regulars shared stories and their knowledge of vinyl and how to spot hidden gems. TRAVELER’S notebook enthusiasts introduced record collectors to analog documentation, from simple listening logs to elaborate sketches inspired by album artwork.

TRAVELER’S notebook Spirit
As the event wound down at 5 pm, there was a palpable sense that something special had occurred. This was a genuine celebration of what makes analog culture vital in 2025. Great records provided the soundtrack. Meaningful conversations created connections, and beautifully crafted notebooks gave everyone a place to document the experience.

The pop-up achieved what both brands strive for. It brought people together through shared appreciation for physical media, creativity, and human connection. It was a perfect embodiment of the TRAVELER’S notebook spirit.

The TWELVES RECORD x TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA collection, featuring the “Crate” and “Sticker” Passport Size inserts designed by Tony Bach, has launched online on www.travelerscompanyusa.com. The collection will also be available at TRAVELER’S FACTORY locations in Japan around mid-November.
