From February 20th to 22nd, our team at TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA loaded up the van and made the short road trip from Long Beach to Torrance for a pop-up at the 2026 California Pen Show!
The timing of the California Pen Show in February felt just right, with the red LOVE AND TRIP TRAVELER’S notebook taking center stage. Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year had just passed, and there was something special in the air that weekend. Maybe it was the excitement of pen and stationery lovers congregating in one space, but there was a feeling of warmth and connection that seemed to be shared with everyone there. The red LOVE AND TRIP TRAVELER’S notebooks were naturally a favorite, not just because of the timing with the holidays, but because there were many new TRAVELER’S notebook users who have been eager to add this red TRAVELER’S notebook to their collection.
The TRC USA team wanted to bring a slice of Japan to California, and so we brought along a special selection of TRAVELER’S FACTORY Original items this year. TF or TRAVELER’S FACTORY items are items that you can usually only get at the TRAVELER’S FACTORY stores in Japan. The TF Original Canvas Pouches were a huge hit, especially since they come in three different sizes that fit both Passport and Regular Size TRAVELER’S notebooks.
One of the standouts of the weekend was the TRAVELER’S COMPANY X TWELVES RECORD Passport Size Refills. The “Crate” and “Sticker” Inserts from this collaboration evoke a fun and laid-back Californian feel that many TRAVELER’S notebook fans gravitated towards. Fans also enjoyed playing our TRC USA capsule toy machine for a chance to win one of the 4 TWELVES RECORD Pin Badges. It was fun watching everyone swap and trade pins to complete their collections!
A TRC USA pop-up isn’t complete without the TRC USA Limited ROAD TRIP Collection! The TRAVELER’S notebook ROAD TRIP has really become a favorite at events, and it has been so amazing to see TRAVELER’S notebook users bring their road trip-themed notebook they got in 2024 during our West Coast Road Trip Caravan. To many fans, the experience was still vivid in their mind even though it had been two years since the event. We were excited to see familiar faces who are visiting us again this year.
Lastly, we introduced a new item for the TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA Limited line up: TRAVELER’S FACTORY Original Leather Folders! These come in both Regular and Passport sizes, each with a unique design that captures the charm and vibe of an American road trip. The Regular Size features our iconic Road Trip van (an homage to the large van we drive to events!), while the Passport Size has a coffee mug illustration reminiscent of the TRAVELER’S DINER collection introduced in 2022.
Just like a clear folder, you can easily place tickets, postcards, or documents folded inside the TRAVELER’S notebook. Made from Himeji tanned leather, a representative Japanese domestic leather, the holder will develop a rich amber color with use as it gets exposed to the elements. It’s sure to come in handy on your travels. These TRAVELER’S FACTORY original leather folders are unique to each location of the TRAVELER’S FACTORY store. The TRC USA Limited edition will only be available during physical events, while supplies last.
It was a great experience to reconnect with our local regulars and meet travelers who came from all over California for the pen show. We love seeing TRAVELER’S notebook users engage with each other over stories from their notebooks or about their shared hobby of pens and paper.
