Last week, the TRC USA team hit the road to attend the first annual San Francisco Stationery Fest. Whenever we head to San Francisco for an event, we try to make the journey part of the experience. This time, we packed up the van, queued up a road trip playlist (this trip was heavy on the Whitney Houston), and drove up the coast from Long Beach with plenty of TRAVELER’S COMPANY and TRAVELER’S FACTORY items on deck!

San Francisco Stationery Fest ran for three days, and the week kicked off with a special Thursday night gallery event for the TRAVELER’S notebook community.

TRAVELER’S SPIRIT Gallery and Meetup: A Night with the Community

To start the weekend, TRC USA hosted the TRAVELER’S SPIRIT Gallery and Meetup Event, an evening dedicated to the creativity and personal stories that make TRAVELER’S notebook so special.

The gallery featured four artists and creators: Anastasha (@thepostaltype), Chelsea (@thosewithwords), Jackie (@brokenhalo81), Micaela (@via.micaela), who shared their approaches to journaling, memory keeping, and documenting everyday adventures in their TRAVELER’S notebook. Guests were able to see a range of completed notebook inserts, unique notebook customization ideas, and inspiring pages filled with sketches, writing, ephemera, and the creators’ favorite tools.

Alongside the exhibition, the TRC USA team introduced a few TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA exclusives and a selection of TRAVELER’S FACTORY limited items through a small TRC USA Pop-Up shop within the gallery space. The energy in the room was incredible. People swapped journaling tips, compared notebook setups, and reconnected with friends from past stationery events in the Bay Area.

A favorite detail of the night was hearing the TRAVELER’S SPIRIT playlist put together by the TRAVELER’S COMPANY director, Iijima-San, through the speakers. It set the vibe of the weekend while we all swapped TRAVELER’S notebook stories and geeked over travel ephemera.

Meeting Old Friends & Making New Ones

The first day of the San Francisco Stationery Fest was filled with excitement from the start. Early bird ticket holders got to the TRC USA tables right at the festival opening at 9 a.m., all eager to explore and meet fellow stationery lovers.

One of the best parts of events like this is the community. People introduced themselves in line, made quick friendships, and bonded over a shared appreciation for paper, pens, and TRAVELER’S notebook. The TRC USA staff is continually surprised when interacting with fans at the table, since everyone seems to have known each other previously or been longtime friends, only to find out that many people at the table just met in the queue today!

Favorite Finds

TRAVELER’S SPIRIT was definitely in the air at the SF Stationery Fest. There were so many “cheerful greetings” (one of our favorite phrases from the 2026 Diary Sticker Sheet) and genuine moments between longtime TRAVELER’S notebook users and first-time visitors.

One highlight was seeing how excited people were to pick up items they had been hoping to find at the Pop-Up. At one point, an attendee who was hoping to pick up a Red LOVE AND TRIP TRAVELER’S notebook in the passport size walked away empty-handed from our table. Just as the guest was about to leave, a TRC USA team member discovered one last passport-size LOVE AND TRIP TRAVELER’S notebook tucked into some extra stock! The guest’s excitement was unforgettable, and it was a reminder of how meaningful these small stationery treasures can be.

We were also excited to share the Blackwing collaboration items with TRC fans who admire this collection but might not have been able to find it at past events.

TRAVELER’S FACTORY in San Francisco

To bring a little piece of Tokyo to San Francisco, the TRC USA team packed a special selection of TRAVELER’S FACTORY Original items. These are items that you usually can only find at TRAVELER’S FACTORY stores in Tokyo or Kyoto.

Some of the TRAVELER’S FACTORY limited items that caught people’s attention included the TF limited Coasters, Glasses Case, and the Canvas Pouches, which complemented the colors of the TRAVELER’S notebooks well.
