The TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA team visited the Midwest this past weekend, March 22nd–23rd, to celebrate all things stationery at Chicago Stationery Fest, hosted by local stationery store Paper and Pencil. Though temperatures are rising back home in California where TRC USA is based, Chicago greeted the TRC USA team with a windy yet sunny welcome as we spent several days meeting TRAVELER’S notebook users and fellow stationery enthusiasts.
The first day of Chicago Stationery Fest fell on a chilly yet sunny Saturday. Held in the beautifully historic Artifacts Events space, Chicago Stationery Fest started bright and early at 9 AM, as eager fans from all over the Midwestern states flocked to the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago to shop stationery and meet other paper lovers!
The TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA tables were tucked away in a humble corner on the second floor of the Artifacts Events space, and the large windows basked the TRC products in the warm early spring light. It was like a little slice of Southern California made it to Illinois at the TRC USA table. TRC USA Limited Items were showcased front and center. Our USA Limited Items, like the Road Trip collection, were popular items for fans who were not able to join us for our Road Trip Caravan back in November 2024! While our Road Trip Caravan is over, the journey continues with TRC USA fans who will take countless road trips with their Road Trip TRAVELER’S notebook.
For fans who are seeing the collection for the first time, we showcased the event-exclusive Road Trip Tote Bag and Road Trip Sticker Set alongside the Road Trip TRAVELER’S notebook and Brass Clip.
Other TRC USA Limited items like the Golden Coast insert, Let’s Go On A Road Trip insert, and TRAVEL & SKETCH SPIRAL RING NOTEBOOK were also popular among TRAVELER’S notebook users at the festival, who were able to shop these exclusive items for the first time. It was exciting to see fans enjoy these limited items and share how they will use it in their own TRAVELER’S notebooks.
Since it has been a while since TRC USA has been able to visit the Midwest, we wanted to bring the TRAVELER’S FACTORY experience to Chicago! We brought a selection of TF Original items, which are tools and items that are usually only available at TRAVELER’S FACTORY stores in Japan. The TF Original Canvas Pouch was popular with fans, as there are three sizes to choose from!
Over the weekend, we met so many diverse TRAVELER’S notebook users with unique TRAVELER’S notebooks. Like the diverse city that Chicago is, its unique charm is reflected in its TRAVELER’S notebook users. It is through our shared love for creativity and TRAVELER’S notebook that made this weekend memorable and filled with wholesome experiences.
Whether you took a short road trip from a neighboring state or commuted from a nearby city, we appreciate the Midwest’s continuous support of TRC USA. I guess you can say the TRC USA team truly felt the meaning of LOVE AND TRIP while at the Chicago Stationery Fest.
With hearts filled with new memories and TRAVELER’S notebooks filled with Chicagoan ephemera, we bid farewell to Chicago Stationery Fest and the hardworking team over at Paper and Pencil who made this event possible. While we say goodbye to Chicago, we will be journeying to the South for the first time as TRC USA will be in Houston, Texas for Little Craft Fest on April 25-27, 2025. We hope to see you there!
