Dear fellow Travelers, we made it back to sunny California after an exciting time at Yoseka’s Stationery Fest in New York. This is a short report of our time on the East Coast, and we hope you enjoyed your visit at our Pop-up at Stationery Fest.

Our week in New York was a busy one, filled with a few hiccups but ultimately a lot of positive memories. Despite storm clouds looming over Greenpoint, Brooklyn, TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA fans showed up from all around the country to celebrate stationery at Yoseka’s Stationery Fest.

Starting on Tuesday, August 6th, TRC USA staff were at the Greenpoint Warehouse setting up for Stationery Fest. The energy at the venue was palpable as different creators and brands were setting up for the show. Our TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA booth is located at the far corner of the warehouse, against the backdrop of vintage red bricks and industrial pipes. It’s as if we’re at a corner of TRAVELER’S FACTORY!

The official start of Stationery Fest was met with excitement but also rain. So many different TRAVELER’S notebook users visited our booths. We brought limited edition items such as the TOKYO EDITION, Blackwing collaboration, and even some TF Original items like washi tapes and Pan Am sticker packs!

By the time 7:00 pm rolled around, our table was looking sparse due to our fans’ overwhelming support. Our teammates back in Signal Hill, California worked some magic and sent over some more products in an overnight shipment, so we had products for Stationery Fest Day 2 and 3 attendees.

The second day of Stationery Fest was met with even more excitement as the hype and buzz from yesterday started to compound. Our TRC USA teammates steadily helped returning TRAVELER’S notebook fans find their wishlist products and even helped set up new TRAVELER’S notebooks for new users.

Today we also had our first TRC USA workshop called “Customize Your Unique Refill!” Many TN users had fun creating collages which encapsulated their time in NYC and Stationery Fest. The creative energy was overflowing and it is evident in all the amazing refills that our students customized!

By the end of day 2, our table was almost empty again! Our support team back in Signal Hill worked extra hard to send one final shipment so Stationery Fest attendees on day 3 could enjoy our products.

Our third and final day at Stationery Fest was equally busy but still fun! We were thrilled to provide stamps for TRAVELER’S notebook users fans to collect in their notebooks.

Our second TRC USA workshop was successful and students enjoyed customizing their unique refills with different ephemera from Stationery Fest. It was inspiring to see students capture their travels in their collages!

In the evening, TRC USA staff joined TRAVELER’S notebook fans for a casual TN meet-up! It was so cool to see the different ways TN fans use their TRAVELER’S notebook. Of course, we had to create a stack photo to commemorate the meet-up.

We wrapped up our Stationery Fest by selling out all our products! Our TRC USA staff was so elated that our final sale went to a fellow small business that was exhibiting right beside our booth. We have been interacting with our booth-mates all week long and it was heartwarming that they supported our booth as our final sale of Stationery Fest! The camaraderie we felt with other vendors was inspiring and reinforced TRC USA’S commitment to community and cultivating friendships through stationery.

While our time in NYC was short, it was filled with so many memories with TRAVELER’S notebook users! It’s not often that TRC USA staff can enjoy the East Coast, so the memories made at Stationery Fest will be cherished memories that we hope we can rekindle in the future. We are eager to meet more TRAVELER’S notebook users soon at our next Pop-Up at the SF International Pen Show coming up in late August!
