Hey Travelers, it’s been a busy summer for the TRC USA team but we had one last stop before we close out our summer events across the country. The team returned to the road to drive to the 2025 San Francisco International Pen Show in the Bay Area. Hitting the road was a nostalgic journey for the TRC USA team as the last time we drove up to San Francisco was for the TRC Road Trip Caravan with the TRAVELER’S COMPANY Japan team.
Before the show began, the TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA staff had the opportunity to do some quick sightseeing in the city. The Mission District is always on the top of the TRC USA’s must-visit list every time we journey to San Francisco. The team enjoyed popping into all the various shops on Valencia Street and enjoying a meal from the team’s favorite Filipino-Mexican fusion restaurant, Señor Sisig.
For our 5th year exhibiting at the SF Pen Show, we wanted to bring a fun and unique experience to TRAVELER’S notebook fans, so we held the first LOVE AND TRIP TRC USA Meetup and Panel. At this meetup, we reflected on the past 5 years at TRC USA and all the milestones and memories we made along the way in the United States. Exhibiting at the SF Pen Show is actually TRC USA’s 30th Pop-Up event since our first Pop-Up event at the Source Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
We had the privilege of interviewing six panelists for the LOVE AND TRIP Panel, who embody the spirit of TRAVELER’S notebook. We sat with Abbey Sy (@abbeysy), Christine Herrin (@everydayexplorersco), Jackie Benefield (@brokenhalo81), RJ (@pinkyelephantcraft) and Little Lu (@littlelu_lu) to look at their TRAVELER’S notebooks and how they document their life and travels in their notebooks. It was an inspiring evening filled with creative energy and attendees left the event inspired to fill their TRAVELER’S notebooks with memories from this evening.
After the panel, there was a short opportunity to purchase the TRC LOVE AND TRIP Collection. It was amazing seeing all the red TRAVELER’S notebooks and TF Sacoche Bags around the event room.
Unlike last year, the San Francisco International Pen Show saw the TRC USA tables moved to the outside foyer of The Westin San Francisco Airport event space. This arrangement provided us an opportunity to display the LOVE AND TRIP Contest winners while also having a dedicated table for the TRC Stamp Caravan stamps.
From Friday to Sunday, the entire venue was buzzing with excitement from fellow stationery enthusiasts. At our TRC USA pop-up, we offered the regular lineup of TRAVELER’S COMPANY items, TRC USA Limited Item like our new TRAVEL & SKETCH Accordion Fold Paper Insert and Road Trip TRAVELER’S notebook, TF Original items like the Canvas Shoulder Bag, Canvas Pouches, Stainless Steel Bottles, and the TO&FRO Organizers and Zipper Cases.
The essence of LOVE AND TRIP could be felt at the TRC USA table, as fans made new friendly connections while waiting in line. The buzz at the SF Pen Show was palpable and fans were eager to check out the limited LOVE AND TRIP collection, including the TF Limited Red Sacoche bags which made its USA debut at the SF Pen Show. TN enthusiasts were also excited to shop from a limited number of Blackwing Collaboration items and the 2024 TOKYO Edition TRAVELER’S notebook.
Meeting new and returning TRAVELER’S notebook users at the SF Pen Show is what the TRC USA team looks forward to the most each year. Seeing TRAVELER’S notebook fans we met back in 2021 constantly return to support TRC USA encourages the TRC USA team to work hard and continue attending events like the San Francisco International Pen Show.
TRC USA will be popping-up at KUBO LB in Long Beach, California to collaborate with Bel Canto Books for Volume two of our TRAVELER’S BOOKS Pop-Up event on September 20, 2025. See you there!
