Winners and Stories from TRAVELER’S notebook LOVE AND TRIP Contest
Love is like a compass that points us in the direction of life and guides us to treat others with sincerity, kindness, and compassion. Traveling exposes us to unknown lands and the people who live there, and teaches us that the world is made up of everyone who has a heart. With love, traveling becomes deeper and more enjoyable. Go love something, go love someone, go travel – that’s LOVE AND TRIP.
Earlier this year, TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA presented a contest that calls for users’ pages of TRAVELER’S notebook along the theme of love. We ask users to enter submissions that feature two facing pages of their TRAVELER’S notebook, with stories filled with love, including but not limited to personal growth, favorite things, encounters, or love of new things and experiences during the trip. We were so impressed with everyone’s submissions and blown away by the creative ways TRAVELER’S notebook fans express their love.
We selected a total of 35 winners to receive the LOVE AND TRIP Special Edition TRAVELER’S notebooks and refills. We would like to share the stories of the seven TRAVELER’S notebook winners, and the full winners’ list will be shared at the end of this article.
TRAVELER’S notebook pages filled with love
“This trip was all about love—showing up for family (my mother) and embracing new experiences. After my mom fell and broke her ankle, I traveled to South Carolina to be by her side, offering support and comfort. Spending time with her and sitting with my grandmother (who has dementia and recently lost her husband and daughter) brought a sense of peace and gratitude. I also got to catch up with my favorite cousin (his mother, my aunt, who passed away in February), sharing laughs and creating memories. It was a nostalgic moment, as we used to hang out and eat yummy food when we were younger. When I said my final “see you later” to him, we hugged each other so tight and he later told me he wished he could have called and told his mom and told her about our time hanging out, like we used to.”

“This trip started by chance at a little Farmers Market in LA a year ago, where I met my now-fiance Emily. We’ve travelled the world since that fateful day, seeing music artists (over 15+), drinking coffee around the globe, finding our shared love for stationery, and sending postcards home along the way. (8 countries this year.). But this trip was different, on this trip I proposed! New Zealand was a whirlwind of an adventure, from Auckland all the way down to Queenstown, and the proposal was the best part of it all. This page tells the story of where we met, to where I got down on one knee, at Parnell Rose Garden in Auckland”

“When I think of love, I truly think of my best friend. Taleah, who I met in 2020 online, has been a supporter, confidante, and daily source of hope and excitement for me. We love so many of the same things, including TRAVELER’S notebooks. We even traveled from the east to the west coast together to meet Mr. Atsuhiko Iijima in Port Townsend, Washington, at the Art Toolkit store. He was so gracious to sign our TRAVELER’S notebooks!”

Our family showered us with so much love. This was a very special trip for us as our daughter met a couple of our family members for the first and last time, and this loving memory will always be kept in our hearts and on these pages.”
